Day 1:
Boiled Potatoes
Hard Boiled Eggs
Melon-balled a Watermelon; gave up after half, decided to drink
Watermelon+Lime+Grapefruit Juice+Vodka+Ice=Amazing cocktails
We had In & Out Burgers for dinner, with animal fries. I was going to make pork chops, parsley potatoes and carrots, but In & Out seemed easier than cleaning up after my watermelon fiasco and then cooking again. We watched Steven Fry in America. Apparently instead of buying a house, I could have bought a missile silo in Kansas... (or was it Nebraska?). Damn.
I'm reading The Black Veil by Rick Moody. I'm really enjoying it, but I'm sad that I fall asleep so quickly at night.
Day 2:
Potato Salad a la Mom (You know, the usual: potatoes, hard boiled eggs, diced onion, mayonnaise, yellow mustard, apple cider vinegar)
Chocolate Bundt Cake with a Cherry Glaze
Fried Chicken
It was raining this morning; absolutely gorgeous balmy 80-something degree morning. Two cups of coffee into the day, I'd read my email, looked about on the Face-Space, and read the news. Because of the weather I was enjoying the patio; birds chirruping; the smell of wet dirt. Andrew came out for a cigarette, and we walked over to look at a cactus that has grown a bunch; I turned around noticed that there was some grass growing out of our Texas Mountain Laurel; I leaned over to pick it, and twenty seconds later- tah dah! my feet were covered with giant ants. Biting ants. I screamed like a little girl. After crying a little, washing my feet with soap, covering them in a baking soda paste, I realized I was stranded in the bathroom... or I would make a giant mess. "Andrewwwwwwwwwwww......... help meeeeeeeeeee......" I whined, in my most pathetic whine. He came and solved my problems with some socks. At least the ant bites got me out of a dreadful afternoon with the not-in-laws' family and friends...
[Did boring things: cleaned yesterday's mess; made potato salad, cleaned potato salad mess, read stuff on the internet]
Apparently the US made it official: Mermaids do not exist.
[Did more boring stuff: baked a cake, made cherry icing for said cake, watched TV on Netflix, made fried chicken, ate fried chicken, cleaned kitchen for the third time in one day]
Grabbed a couple beers with my beau, and mosied down to the river bed to watch the fireworks. Drank more beer. More beer. Lit own fireworks... Went to bed.
Day 3:
Pork Chops
Parsley Fried Red Potatoes
Mint Carrots
Got bored of writing about it.....

Beer for dinner?
OMG! Tonight I didn't cook. I'm having beer for dinner!
Part I and part II are the same beer... just different. I felt as though part II highlighted that there is still head in there....
Delicious! San Tan Hefeweizen! Go go QT! $6.99!!!there's an orange in my beer, so it's obviously nutrient-rich, right???
My mother must be so proud... she only said that I had to eat dinner before dessert. Mwah ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!
Notice the leopard print behind the third? That makes it classy! So what if the first one is on the floor? What's wrong with that?
There are still four more of these bad boys in the fridge. Yep.
Still space here.
Still.
Done!

Emoticons
At work, I have started making emoticons because I fear that others cannot understand the emotions I am trying to convey when I talk to them.
I've been keeping track of every dinner that I make (since I started this silly blog)... I just don't have the list at home. It's in a sparkly purple notebook at work.
I've also been keeping track of every book I've ready in 2011 (since well before this blog). That's in the same purple notebook.
